Are you a self-driven and quality-conscious person with experience in air quality measurements or other environmental measurements? If so, you might be the right person for us!

The Air Quality group, consisting of about 20 people with deep and broad expertise in air quality and air emissions as well as climate gases, is now looking for another team member in the field. We perform measurements and calculations of air pollutant levels, emission inventories, cost-benefit analyses, as well as instruments and policy issues regarding air and climate.

Our projects are of varying nature, and we work on assignments for both authorities and the private sector, as well as in various research projects. Environmental monitoring takes place in the most diverse environments, both in rural areas, urban areas, and traffic environments. The measuring equipment used ranges from the simplest sample bottle to advanced remote analysis technology.

The tasks for this position include measurements, primarily of pollutant levels in outdoor air, but also emissions to air. Maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting analyzers and other measuring equipment is part of the measurement work. Quality assurance, evaluation, and reporting work are also included in this position. IVL holds accreditation from Swedac for most of our measurements, so the tasks include preparing and participating (together with the group's and laboratory's quality managers) when external technical assessors come for their annual visits.

The work involves travel throughout the country, at least once a month. Further development of measurement methods and measurement and analysis tools is also an important part of the operations.

To fit the role, several of the following statements apply to you.

You:

• preferably have a university degree in engineering or natural sciences, or a high school education with relevant work experience;

• can plan and travel periodically throughout the year and be away for 1-5 days per trip (a driver's license is required);

• have experience working with measurements of particles and gases, preferably within air quality;

• have experience working in a quality system;

• have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English;

• are goal-oriented, creative, responsible, and driven;

• enjoy working in a team but are also used to working independently;

• are a frequent user of databases.

Our operations are conducted in teams and in project form, and the sought position involves a lot of direct contact with our clients, which means you need to have good communication skills, collaboration skills, and flexibility. In this role, you will work somewhat alone at our measuring stations, which is why comfort in handling unexpected situations, accuracy, and both methodical and creative ability to seek causes of technical deviations are important qualities.
